Homewood Suites Grand Rapids – Hotel near airport in Grand Rapids

My stay at the hotel was an enjoyable experience overall. The rooms were perfect for our girls' getaway weekend, but there were some disturbances from loud crashes caused by people throwing garbage out in the nearby warehouse. The service was friendly and helpful, although the staff was dressed in street clothes with coats. The location was great, with shopping and food options nearby, but it was a bit dirty outside and there were renovations causing disruptions during the day. The dining experience was very good, with plenty of options available, and the facilities met our needs.

Upon arrival, my room was not ready, and I was shifted to another hotel further away from my destination, which was quite inconvenient as I was attending a busy conference. The rooms were nice but not as clean as expected, and it took an additional two and a half hours to get the room I had originally booked.

I was impressed by the spacious and well-equipped room, even though there was no toilet paper in the bathroom upon arrival. The hotel's service was outstanding in terms of friendliness, but unfortunately, my request for additional linens went unanswered. The location was ideal, close to downtown and with a great selection of dining and shopping options. The dining experience was enjoyable, especially with homemade local products, although breakfast finishes quite early at 9 am.

The hotel offered very accommodating and fully equipped rooms, although mine wasn't ready until 90 minutes past check-in time despite calling ahead for early check-in. The service was a mix of welcoming friendliness and occasional rudeness, with some delays in room cleaning. While the location was convenient for my business trip, it could have been cleaner and less congested. The dining experience was varied and satisfactory, but the free laundry and dry cleaning services were a nice touch.

My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The location is fantastic, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The rooms, although a bit outdated, were comfortable, and the service was friendly and efficient. However, the dining options were not as impressive, and the breakfast hours could be extended. The hotel's facilities were decent, providing a satisfactory experience at a reasonable price.
